What Is Papdi?
Papdi (also spelled papdhi or papri) is a thin, crispy wafer made from gram flour (besan) or wheat flour, seasoned with salt and spices and fried until golden. It is a staple of Indian snacking, especially in Gujarat, Rajasthan and across north India, and has been a favourite in UK Indian households for generations. Papdi works as a snack on its own, as a chaat base, and as a scoop for dips and chutneys.
